Colour Me.. with a Freshly Made Sketch

Hey!  This is my second, and probably last, post of the day.  This is a card for my uncle, and it's actually his birthday today... I honestly don't know how I forgot!  Anyway, this card is for Freshly Made Sketches #118 and Colour Me Challenge #2.  These were the closest colors I had to Marina Mist and Melon Mambo, so I hope they suffice.  The white card stock is from Michael's, and everything else is Stampin' Up.  Thanks for checking out my card!  Have a great rest of your Sunday! <3 JEM

Mojo Monday 327

Hey Hey!  I totally forgot that I hadn't posted this card yet, and so I'm very glad to see that the contest hadn't closed yet!  I made this card for my husband's little cousin.  The brown card stock I purchased at Michael's, and the patterned pink was from my hubby, the blue from our wedding photo display, and the yellow from a friend.  The ink, framelits and stamps are from Stampin' Up, as well as the button.  The string is leftover from a craft last winter.  Hope you like! <3 JEM

Seize the Birthday Challenge

Good morning!  Hopefully I can get this posted in the next 6 minutes and it will still be true :)  This is my submission for the Seize the Birthday Numbers challenge.  Me and my bestie are both turning 29 this week (yes, for the first time!), so I thought I would pop a cute card in the mail for her.  The kraft paper is from Michael's, the patterned paper, stamp, and ink from Stampin' Up, and the 29 stamps were purchased at the now defunct Scrapbooker's Paradise here.  I hope she likes it! <3 JEM

2 Challenges in 1!

Good morning, everyone!  Here is my submission for Mojo Monday 326, as well as Colour Me Challenge #1!  I find it easier to come up with a card when I have a layout to follow.  All of the Island Indigo is courtesy Stampin' Up, of course, and the white card stock is from a huge stack of covers that were going to get thrown out at work.  You can NEVER have too much white paper!  Hope you like! <3 JEM

November Stamp Club

Hey all!  I just wanted to share the cards that were made at November's Stamp Club.. I unfortunately missed the class as I was in Vancouver for a choir tour.  It was a really great time, but I did miss my night with the ladies!  I'm really looking forward to next week's class to get my card making mojo on again!

Tea Party Invites

Hello my friends!  I have a rare evening off to get caught up on some things, and I thought I would share the invites I made for my upcoming tea party this Friday.  I've never hosted anything like this before - and I'm excited!  I felt that I should make the invites myself instead of going with the standard Facebook thing, as it seems like people are more likely to not show up when it's not as personal.  I guess I have the added bonus that people want to see our new house!  I made these to look like tea bags.  I used various grey and white card stock scraps that I could find (I didn't have as much gray as I thought!),  and all the stamps are Stampin' Up except for the lettering.  The string is from my sister (I think), and the glitter is from a friend.  I decided to make them a bit grungy as I didn't really like how they were turning out.  Grunge makes all the difference!  Hope you like!  <3 JEM

Babies and Stamp Club

Hello, my crafty friends!  Once again, it has been a while, but it is no fault of mine!  The earliest we could get our internet installed after moving was a week, and then when the day came, they somehow got the location mixed up so they had someone halfway across the province ready to give us internet.  o_0.  At least they gave us a two week credit for our troubles!  Couldn't really ask for more :)  Anyway, on to the cards!  Today I went to a baby shower for twin girls.  Soooo cute :)  So I made this quick little card.  The card stock is from a friend, the ribbon is from a gift, and everything else is Stampin' Up.  I think that a brayer creates a really cool look, quickly!

These next two cards are from Stamp Club, so everything is Stampin' Up, naturally!  This month we were making Christmas cards and focusing on different ink techniques.  This first card involves inking up a stamp and then dabbing it with a darker shade for a dimensional effect.

This card involves using a textured stamp on a solid stamp.  First you ink your solid stamp with the lighter color.  Then you ink your textured stamp with a darker color (in this case, we used the woodgrain stamp).  Then you press your solid stamp onto the textured stamp and then onto your paper.  It looks like a carving!  Hope you enjoyed! <3 JEM
