New Baby Card

Good morning!  A quick card to post before running off to work.. Yeah, I'd definitely rather be making cards than going to work right now, but such is life!  This is for Freshly Made Sketches 142 as well as The Card Concept #13.  I went for the concept of Clean & Layering.  I don't usually make baby cards so this was a bit different for me.  Anyway, the yellow and green card stock is from a friend, the white is left over from a Christmas project, the duck paper is from Michael's, and the brads, ink, and sentiment are Stampin' Up.  Hope you have a good day! <3 JEM

Calling to Wish You a Happy Birthday!

Hey all!  Something a little different today.  This card was inspired by the sketch at The Pink Elephant 256.  I pretty much used all scraps for this card, with the exception of the patterned paper which I got a very long time ago at Michael's.  The yellow ribbon is from a gift bag, and all the grey card stock is from a friend.  The stamps and ink are Stampin' Up.  Now I gotta run cuz my mom is coming over to give me a pedicure - ahh, the little things you look forward to when you can't bend over to reach your own feet, hah!  Hope you enjoy! <3 JEM

Playful Mojo

Good morning!  Here is my submission for Mojo Monday 351 as well as Colour Me Challenge #26.  I never would have chosen to put these colors together but they seem to work rather well.  Pretty much everything about this card is recycled.  The brown card stock is from our wedding invitations, the white from some covers at work that never got used, and the yellow from a friend.  The green ribbon and flower is from a friend, the brad and happy stamp from my mom, and the twine from a leftover Christmas project.  The blue stamp and ink are Stampin' Up.  Hope you have a wonderful day - one of my best friends is coming up to visit us today and I'm really looking forward to it :)  <3 JEM

Summer Birthday

Good evening all!  Just a quick post before I head off to bed.  This is my submission for The Shabby Tea Room 224, as well as The Paper Players 201.  I just love the bright summery-ness of this card.  It's also quite the collage of product.  The pink card stock, brads, and ink are from my mom, the green polka dot paper was an anniversary gift from my hubby, and the stamps, green paper, and edgelits are Stampin' Up.  Hope you enjoy! <3 JEM

Shimmer On!

Hey everyone!  This is my submission for Merry Monday 114 and Runway Inspired Challenge #62.  I recently purchased one of the new background sheet stamp things (yeah, so technical!) from Stampin' Up and when I saw the inspiration picture at RIC I knew what I wanted to do!  So the ink, stencil, shimmer spray and stamps are from Stampin' Up, the white paper is from Michael's, and the ribbon and glitter glue is from a friend.  Hopefully you can see the shimmer on some of the stars!  <3 JEM

June Stamp Club Creations

Hello everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying summer!  I just want to share the two cards we made for Stamp Club this June.  Unfortunately, Stamp Club will not be continuing this fall, but there may be the odd get together to make cards. (I'm already looking forward to that!)  I sent this first card to my uncle for his birthday.

I gave this card to my dad for Father's Day.  I love how the daubed edges of the card and ship make it slightly antique looking.  Hope you have a good night :)  <JEM

Fresh Colors for Christmas

In my previous post, I was in a card making mood.  This card pretty much killed that mood lol.  Probably because I had to make the card to match the envelope and for some reason my math was just not working.  Glad I didn't wreck much paper as I was smart enough to use scrap paper first!  ANYWAY.  This card is for Freshly Made Sketches 141 as well as Merry Monday 113.  The black card stock is from a friend, the silver, pink, and white is from Michael's, and the stamps and ink are Stampin' Up.  I hope you like it, cuz I'm never making another hah!  <3 JEM

Subtle Mojo

New House Cards

Hello!  I realized that I hadn't shared a few cards I had made for a recent order.  I liked them a lot, so I wanted to show them off lol!  For this card, I know the green paper and the tree paper, yellow flowers, and glitter glue is from a friend, the ribbon from my cousin's wedding favors, and the stamps I've had for a while.  The kraft card stock is from Michael's, but I can't remember if the white card stock is also from Michael's, or if it was scraps from some unwanted covers at work.  Either way, there is a lot of recycled material in this card!

I got the idea for this keyhole card on Pinterest, and I just thought it was so cute!  The kraft paper is from Michael's, and the dsp and ink is from Stampin' Up.  The stamps I got at Scrapbooker's Paradise, I believe, and the glitter glue is from a friend.  I used a circle punch from Stampin' Up and then cut out the rest of the keyhole with a sharp blade.

This last card was my first attempt at making a starburst effect card.  I was a bit off in my measurements, but I still managed to make it work somehow.  All the dsp and ink used here is Stampin' Up and the stamps were from Scrapbooker's Paradise.  The white card stock is from Michael's.  Hope you have a lovely night - I went for a walk (aka pregnant waddle) with my husband this beautiful evening!  So nice out! <3 JEM

Season's Greetings

Good Morning!  Just a quick little post before I rush off to church.  I'm entering this card for Merry Monday #111 as well as Freshly Made Sketches #139.  I like having a sketch as well as a theme to get the ideas flowing.  The color is a bit off in this photo though - the tag is actually the same color as the aqua in the dsp.  The white card and aqua card stock is from Michael's, the red ribbon from my mom, the red glitter paper from a leftover project, and everything else is Stampin' Up.  Hope you have a great day! <3 JEM
