November Stamp Club

Hey all!  I just wanted to share the cards that were made at November's Stamp Club.. I unfortunately missed the class as I was in Vancouver for a choir tour.  It was a really great time, but I did miss my night with the ladies!  I'm really looking forward to next week's class to get my card making mojo on again!

Tea Party Invites

Hello my friends!  I have a rare evening off to get caught up on some things, and I thought I would share the invites I made for my upcoming tea party this Friday.  I've never hosted anything like this before - and I'm excited!  I felt that I should make the invites myself instead of going with the standard Facebook thing, as it seems like people are more likely to not show up when it's not as personal.  I guess I have the added bonus that people want to see our new house!  I made these to look like tea bags.  I used various grey and white card stock scraps that I could find (I didn't have as much gray as I thought!),  and all the stamps are Stampin' Up except for the lettering.  The string is from my sister (I think), and the glitter is from a friend.  I decided to make them a bit grungy as I didn't really like how they were turning out.  Grunge makes all the difference!  Hope you like!  <3 JEM

Babies and Stamp Club

Hello, my crafty friends!  Once again, it has been a while, but it is no fault of mine!  The earliest we could get our internet installed after moving was a week, and then when the day came, they somehow got the location mixed up so they had someone halfway across the province ready to give us internet.  o_0.  At least they gave us a two week credit for our troubles!  Couldn't really ask for more :)  Anyway, on to the cards!  Today I went to a baby shower for twin girls.  Soooo cute :)  So I made this quick little card.  The card stock is from a friend, the ribbon is from a gift, and everything else is Stampin' Up.  I think that a brayer creates a really cool look, quickly!

These next two cards are from Stamp Club, so everything is Stampin' Up, naturally!  This month we were making Christmas cards and focusing on different ink techniques.  This first card involves inking up a stamp and then dabbing it with a darker shade for a dimensional effect.

This card involves using a textured stamp on a solid stamp.  First you ink your solid stamp with the lighter color.  Then you ink your textured stamp with a darker color (in this case, we used the woodgrain stamp).  Then you press your solid stamp onto the textured stamp and then onto your paper.  It looks like a carving!  Hope you enjoyed! <3 JEM

Moving & Orders

Good Morning everyone!  It has been a LONG time since I posted anything... but I have a very good reason!  We are moving this week!!!  We were showing our condo for all of August, and I discovered that it's very hard to be creative and keep things tidy at the same time (at least for me!).  But I also had two orders to get done, and Stamp Club in between, so I thought I would just share the new cards I tried out.  I will unashamedly admit that pretty much all my inspiration came from Pinterest - these layouts are not my own.  Anywhoo, on to the cards!  This first card was made at Stamp Club, and therefore everything used is Stampin' Up.

This card is also from Stamp Club.  We tried out those new card layouts.  I think they're neat, but not really my style.

All the cards from here on I made myself. For this card, the paper, flowers, and brads are from a friend, the ink is from my mom, and the branch stamp is Stampin' Up.  I'm not sure where the Thank You stamp is from.

The orange and white card stock in this card is from a friend, as well as the brads.  The grey card stock is from Michael's, and the ink, stamps, patterned paper, punch, and piercer are Stampin' Up.  The twine is from a gift.

The stamp, framelit, paper piercer and patterned paper from this card are Stampin' Up.  The green paper is from a daytimer, and the sparkly brown is from a friend's wedding invitation.  The card stock is from Michael's.

The ribbon and pin in this card are from a friend, the chevron embossing folder, patterned paper, stamps, ink, and brayer used are Stampin' Up.  The grey card stock is from Michael's.

All the paper used in this card is from a friend, and the embossing folders are Stampin' Up.

The purple, white and yellow paper in this card are from a friend, the pinwheel, embossing folder, and edgelit are Stampin' Up.  The brad, stamp, and ink are from my mom, and the brown paper is from our wedding photo display.  The grass paper is from Michael's.

The yellow, orange, white, and green paper here are from a friend, the brads and ink are from my mom, the blueish paper and duck paper are from Michael's, and the stamps, ribbon, and embossing folder are Stampin' Up.  The twine is from my sister.

The grey card stock here is from Michael's, the gems are from some of our wedding ornaments, the cream paper is from my Opa, and everything else is Stampin' Up.

All the paper used in this card is from my ever so generous friend.  The brad, embossing folder, stamp, and punch are Stampin' Up, and the ink is from my mom.

The creamy card stock in this card is from Michael's, and the green and colored paper is from an unused daytimer.  The embossing folder, stamp, and framelit are Stampin' Up, and the ink is from my mom.

I love this card!  And owls in general :) The brown paper used in this card is from our wedding photo display, the purple patterned paper is Stampin' Up, and all other paper is from my friend.  She also supplied the brad.  The punches, ink, stamps, and framelits are Stampin' Up, and the twine is from a gift I received.

This is probably the most painstaking card to make.  So many little circles, and I made the mistake of making three of these at once.. NEVER again.  But it sure is darn cute.  All the paper here is from a friend, the ink is Stampin' Up, and the stamps I believe are from Michael's.

I made a few versions of this card, including one for a baby shower.  So fun :)  The stamps and ribbon are Stampin' Up (which I used sharpie marker on for the chevron pattern).  The ink is from my mom, the blue card stock from Michael's, and the green card stock is from the old daytimer.

All the background paper on this card is from Michael's.  The paper for the presents is Stampin' Up, as well as the punch.  I'm not sure where I got the stamps from, but the ink is from Michael's as well.  I used a dab of glitter glue from a friend, and the ribbon is from my cousin's wedding favors.

And to end things off (if you made it this far, I'm really impressed!), I've posted one of my favorite cards from the card making extravaganza.  All the colored paper here is from a friend, the white is leftover from the missionary cards I made, the ribbon is from my cousin's wedding favors, and the embossing folder, stamps, and punches are Stampin' Up.  The ink is from my mom.  To make the flames, I used the bird wing from the Stampin' Up bird punch, used a sponge dauber to color the flame, and then topped it with some glitter glue from a friend.  Hope you liked all these cards! <3 JEM

Stampin' Fun!

Happy Tuesday evening everyone!  I just wanted to share these cards that I made last week when I went to a Stampin' Up evening.  There were only a few of us, but it was a lot of fun, and I got a lot of inspiration for my cards that night!    Everything in this post is Stampin' Up.  Hope you enjoy and get inspired, too! <3 JEM

The Shabby Tea Room #177 - Oh Baby!

Happy Sunday, everyone!  It's a beautiful day here and I'd like to share this card with you.  I found my inspiration at The Shabby Tea Room.  I needed a baby card for hubby's sister's baby shower in 2 weeks, so this was perfect!  The white card stock is from my Alaskan scrapbooking kit way back in the day, the white flowers are from a friend, the ribbon and ink are from my mom, and the pearls, stamps, and framelit are Stampin' Up.  Enjoy!  <3 JEM

Paper Players 156: Birthday Sketch

Hey hey!  This card is inspired by sketch 156 at The Paper Players.  It's the first card I've made for this big order I have.  I thought I would keep it simple.  The green card stock is from a friend, and the yellow is from Michael's.  The white is from the missionary cards I made back in January.  I fussy cut the tree, leaves, and bird out.  All the stamps and ink are from Stampin' Up, and the brads are from my mom (also Stampin' Up).  Hope you like! <3 JEM

The Shabby Tea Room #176 - Fresh Summer Breeze Wedding

Hey!  Here's something a bit different from me (well, at least I think so - I don't do much with pink).  It's a wedding card for my friends who are getting married in a couple of weeks, and I used the challenge from The Shabby Tea Room.  All the card stock used and the brads are from a friend, the ink is from my mom, and the embossing folder, framelit, lace, flowers, stamp, and punch are Stampin' Up.  Hope you like! <3 JEM

Mojo Monday 303 - Wedding Celebration

Hey everyone!  Hope you're having a great weekend!  I had a wonderful nap this afternoon, and now I'm just feeling awesome.  When my last order picked up her cards, she asked if I could make one more card for a wedding she was attending.  Something "hip"... Okie dokie!  I think this card is pretty cool, anyway.  The layout is courtesy of Mojo Monday 303.  All the card stock in this card is Stampin' Up (except for the white, which is still from those missionary cards I made back in January), the translucent green ribbon and stamp are Stampin' Up, the black ribbon is from my cousin's wedding favors, and the satin green is from a birthday gift I received 3 years back.  All the best to the newlyweds! <3 JEM

Order Samples

Good evening!  I just finished some cards for an order this evening, and thought I would share my two favorites with you.  The white card stock used in this card is from a friend, the brown is from our wedding photo display, and everything else is Stampin' Up.

This card is all Stampin' Up with the exception of the white flowers, which are from a friend, and the green brads are from my mom (but they are Stampin' Up too!).  I had made another card like this before, but in purple and with a different stamp set.  It's fun to take favorite layouts and try them in a different way!  Hope you like!  I have to go do some baking :) <3 JEM

Paper Players #155 - Happy Big Day!

Hello!  This is my card for The Paper Players Sketch #155.  This is actually a mini card for a project I'm working on.  The lady at Bernard Callebaut said she would be interested in buying some cards to sell with her chocolates, and I'm slowly getting up the nerve to make some.  That would be so awesome!  Anyway, pretty much everything about this card is Stampin' Up, with the exception of the ribbon (from my cousin's wedding favors), and the white card stock (from the missionary cards I made back in January).  Hope you like!  I'm off to fill a couple more orders - yay! <3 JEM

Stampin' for the Weekend: Sparkle and Bling

Hey!  This is my card for Stampin' for the Weekend's Sparkle and Bling Challenge.  I made this card for my cousin's birthday.  I used shimmer to sparkle up the celebrate sentiment (both Stampin' Up), there is sparkle on the background card stock (which is from Michael's - my hubby's anniversary present to me!), the sparkly ribbon from my mom, and the pearls (Stampin' Up).  The white card stock is from a friend, and the beige is from Michael's.  The ink and framelit are Stampin' Up.  Hope you like! <3 JEM

The Pink Elephant 208 - Butterfly Birthday

Hey all!  This is my submission for The Pink Elephant 208.  The challenge was to create a feminine birthday card.  I made this card for my hubby's cousin's daughter.  I originally intended to have the purple card stock as the card, with the butterfly across both front and back, but I made a mistake and did it upside down.  I think I managed to salvage it fairly well though!  The white card stock and silver flowers are from a friend, the grey card stock is from Michael's, and everything else Wisteria Wonder is of course Stampin' Up.  <3 JEM

Mojo Monday 302 - Masculine Card #2

This is this year's birthday card for my hubby.  I made it for Mojo Monday 302.  The brown card stock is from our wedding photo display, the blue is either from a friend or Michael's (I can't remember), but the ribbon is definitely from a friend, and the patterned paper, brad, and stamps are Stampin' Up.  Hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend!  <3 JEM

Mojo Monday 302 - Masculine Card #1

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today is a special day because not only is it my husband's birthday, but it's also his father's birthday!  We had a nice day going to the Farmer's Market, a movie, and dinner.  This card was for his dad (I'll have my hubby's card in the next post).  I made it for Mojo Monday 302.  I love the brightness of this card - so fun and summery!  The solid blue card stock is from our wedding photo display, the yellow from a friend, the black ribbon from my cousin's wedding favors, and the patterned paper and stamp are from Stampin' Up.  He really liked his card, and said that every time he gets a card from me he can't wait to see what I've made.  Isn't that sweet?  Make sure to check out my next post for my hubby's card!  <3 JEM

July Stampin' Fun!

Hey everyone!  I haven't posted in a while because I was away on holiday..  Backpacking on the West Coast.  Sooo much fun!  I love being outdoors.  When we got home, I spent my first night at a Stampin' Up party, and this is the card we made.  I really love the new ruffled ribbon and the chalk stamp look.  Hope you enjoy!  <3 JEM

Mojo Monday #300

Good evening!  This is a card I made for the Mojo Monday #300 Celebration!  I wasn't feeling very creative tonight so it was a bit of work, but I think I like the end result.  I had to make sure this card got in the mail before we head off backpacking so it wouldn't be late for the intended's birthday!  The white paper is from the missionary cards I made, the yellow and solid green from a friend, and the ink, button, ribbon, patterned paper, green cardstock, stamps, and framelits are from Stampin' Up.  Hope you enjoy, and congrats to Mojo Monday!  I'm going to bed... <3 JEM

Basketweave Throw

Hey!  I have something a little different for you today...  I finished a throw I've been working on for our couch!  It is a pretty simple basketweave stitch, and it looks so nice in our living room.  Now I don't have to get my blanket from the bedroom every time I get cold!

A bit of a close up!  Hope you like! <3 JEM

Hello!  Hope you are surviving the summer heat!  This is my contribution for Seize the Birthday #20.  I gave it to my uncle for his birthday.  The brad, ribbon, stamp, framelits, ink, punch, and blue card stock are from Stampin' Up, the silver from Michael's, and the white is leftover from the missionary cards I made back in January.  <3 JEM

Mojo Monday 299

Hello!  Hope you're having a wonderful evening - we just had a couple friends over with their 3 little boys and it was a great time - and the noise was definitely great retaliation towards our loud upstairs neighbours hehe!  My husband actually helped me make this card...  I knew I wanted to use all my wisteria colored stuff, but I wasn't sure of the contrasting piece.  So I gave him a bunch of options and this is the one he picked - I think it looks great :)  The flowers and flower brads on here are from a friend, the Happy Birthday stamps I found somewhere, the patterned paper is from Michael's, and everything else is Stampin' Up.  Oh yeah, and this is for the challenge at Mojo Monday - #299!!  Enjoy!  <3 JEM

Belated Seize the Birthday #19

So, I made a mistake!  I was looking for card inspiration and thought I would try the challenge at Seize the Birthday #19.  Except, when I was halfway through the card I realized that the challenge had already closed.  Oopsie!  So here is my card anyway.  It is a trifold birthday card.  The brown paper is from our wedding photo display, and the yellow and pink from a friend.  The punches and stamps are from Stampin' Up.

2nd fold.

And the inside!  Hope you like! I'm going to try and find a sketch that IS open now :)  <3 JEM

The Pink Elephant 205 - Love & Laughter

Hey hey!  This is my submission for The Pink Elephant 205.  This week it was a sketch challenge, and I thought it was a great one :)  All the paper you see here is from Michael's, the button and ink are from Stampin' Up, and the twine is from a gift I received.  I think I got the stamp at Scrapbooker's Paradise.  Hope you like!  <3 JEM

Stampin Up Card Club Creations

Hey!  Just wanted to share the latest cards we made at Stamp Club this month.  This first card uses a technique that I can't wait to start exploring with different shapes.  You punch out a translucent window sheet, lay it on your card, and ink up with your dauber!  Such a cool idea.  You can do this with anything - butterfly punches, squares, etc.  The circle punch works with a bunch of stuff like bubbles, balloons.. you name it!

On this second card we used stamp wheels (I can't remember the right name at the moment!) for the blue plaid on the bottom.  I was really glad to try this out, because I'm thinking of purchasing some wheels pretty soon!

And this last creation we made at our pickup night.  It unfolds to hold a sticky notepad!  You could use this for so many occasions like Christmas, Halloween, thank you gifts, etc.  LOVE it!  <3 JEM
