Today is new slipper day! I can't remember which Christmas it was that I received my last pair of slippers from my mom, but let me tell you - it's been a while! Yesterday the insoles finally wore out of the insides so I decided I could put it off no longer. I had this yarn from a failed sock attempt (read: prego foot sock size) at Capernwray Harbour Bible School in 2010. The unwanted sock was still sitting finished in my Mad About Ewe bag(they're a fantastic yarn store in Nanaimo - I'd recommend checking them out if you're in the area!), orphaned and without a mate. So I frogged it (read: took it apart) and found this super quick and easy pattern on ravelry. I love the fact that they are easily adjustable for every foot size. This yarn is self-striping yarn so I'm sure it would've looked better in a different pattern, but you know me: always trying to use what I already have! Hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday! <3 JEM |
