Christmas Order

Good evening everyone!  These cards were for an order I received.  I threw the last one in as a thank-you :)  This card has some fuzzy red velvet paper I purchased at Michael's (well as the white card stock that serves as the body of this card).  All other paper was scrap.  The stamps, punches, and ink are Stampin' Up, and the embossing powder is from a friend.

This is one of the cards we made at Stamp Club - therefore, everything you see is from Stampin' Up.  This card partly taught us about embossing paper.

I love this card!  All paper is from Michael's.  The stamps, ink, punches, brad, and pearls are from Stampin' Up.

The order requested a card with an owl, so here it is!  All paper here is from Michael's, and the stamps, punches, and ink are from Stampin' Up.  The ribbon is from my mom, and the glitter glue is from a friend.

This card uses some pre-embossed paper from Michael's that I think is so pretty!  The ink, stamps, and punch are from Stampin' Up, and the ribbon is from a friend.

This is another card we made at Stamp Club.  The snowflakes use white ink and embossing powder to make them really pop.

And this little card was made when I picked up one of my Stamp Club orders.  I just thought it was really cute!  Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!  <3 JEM

November Birthdays

Hello everyone!  These are some cards I sent to family in November.  The color family for all of them is pretty much the same.  All of the main body cardstock is from our wedding photo display.  This card was for one of my hubby's grandmothers.  The plaid ribbon and translucent paper is from a friend, and the white and darker blue paper is from Michael's.  The pearls and punches are from Stampin' Up and the stamps and ink are mine.

This card was for hubby's other grandmother.  The leopard print paper is from a bag I received, and the white and tan paper is from Michael's.  The pearls and punches are from Stampin' Up, and the stamps and ink are mine.

This card was for hubby's grandfather.  The circle paper is from an Iris bag when I purchased my new sunglasses!  The tan paper is from Michael's, the little brads are from a friend, the large brad, punch and stamps are from Stampin' Up, and the ink is mine.

This last card was for my Aunt's birthday.  I used more of the circle paper from the Iris bag, and the circle punch and glitter is from a friend.  The border punch and stamps are from Stampin' Up, and the ink is mine.  Which one is your favorite?  <3 JEM

Raffle Pt. 2

Wow - I really meant to post these much earlier, but I got a terrible flu.  I'm just starting to feel better today.  I'm very thankful for our wonderful couch that I've been sleeping on for the past week (horrible coughing allll night!).  Hopefully I might be able to go to work for a few hours tomorrow.  We shall see!  Anyway, here are the other cards that I had made for the Ladies' Brunch raffle at church.  Pretty much all paper is from Michael's and all other embellishments from Stampin' Up unless otherwise posted.

The ribbon used here is from my mom! The background stamp used here is also embossed with clear powder for texture.

The translucent paper and glitter paint is from a friend!

The ribbon punch is from Michael's and the ribbon from my mom!  Which one is your favorite?  <3 JEM

Raffle Pt. 1

Good evening, my friends!  I am home sick missing out on what I'm sure is a fantastic potluck - so what better way to spend my evening writing a post in between getting not so pleasant things done around the house?  So this batch of cards is for an event happening at our church for the ladies next Saturday morning.  My MIL asked if I would be interested in making a couple sets of cards as a door prize and I gladly obliged (obviously sticking in my business card in the package as well!).  I decided to keep them all Christmas themed and made good use of the techniques I've been learning at Stamp Club.  This card uses the triple time stamping technique I learned at last month's class.  The paper is from Michael's, and the stamps, ink, and pearls are Stampin' Up.

I love the technique of stamping off the page (so simple really, but I'd never thought of it before!).  All paper here is from Michael's, and the ribbon, ink, stamps, pearls, and punch are Stampin' Up.

I discovered how to turn the owl punch into a penguin punch via Pinterest and love the result!  All paper except the translucent stuff is from Michael's, the translucent from a friend, and the punches, stamps, ink, pearls, and brad from Stampin' Up.

This is a simpler card that uses some lovely metallic purple card stock.  All paper is from Michael's, the punches, ink and stamps are from Stampin' Up, and the ribbon is from my mom.

I love the texture of this paper and decided to keep everything else simple so the focus would be on it.  I used a sponge dauber to age the edges.   All paper is from Michael's, and the stamps, ink, pearls, and brad are Stampin' Up.

This antique looking Dasher is placed on a red velvet background for a cozy feel.  All card stock is from Michael's, and the ribbon is from a friend.  I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday evening and a great work week!  I'll reveal the second batch of cards soon! <3 JEM

Anniversary Card

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  I'm heading off to Stamp Club in a bit (eeee!), but I thought I'd do a quick post for you.  This card was for my Aunt & Uncle's anniversary.  The blue card stock is from our wedding photo display, and the rest is from Michael's.  The punches and pearls are from Stampin' Up, the ink is from my Mom (also Stampin' Up), and the stamps are from Scrapbooker's Paradise - which I've heard has closed?  Sad!  I never enjoyed going there much, though.  The customer service wasn't very good - I always felt like I was an intruder...  Anyway...  Hope you all have a wonderful evening!  I know I will :D  <3 JEM

Pastor Appreciation Month

Last month, I was approached by a friend from church asking me if I could make some cards for our Pastors for Pastor Appreciation Month. I was delighted to!  I tried to keep them as manly as possible ;)  The brown and beige cardstock from this card is from Michael's, the corn paper, stamp and ink are from Stampin' Up, and the ribbon is from a friend.

The pearls on this card are from Stampin' Up.  The rest is the same as the first card.

The flower brads on this card are from a friend, and the rest is the same as the first card.

The ribbon and stamps on this card are from a friend, and the ink, "for you" stamp and cross stitch paper is from Stampin' Up.  The cream paper is from Michael's.  Which one is your favorite?  <3 JEM

An Anniversary and a Birthday

I have two cards for you today.  The first one I made a while back and decided to give to my parents for their anniversary.  The brown cardstock is from our wedding photo display, the green from Michael's, the ribbon from my mom, and the rosette from Michael's.  The only thing that didn't turn out so well was the silver ink (which I chucked out after that card since it never worked ANY time I used it).

This card was for my cousin's birthday.  The brown cardstock is also from our wedding photo display, and all other paper is courtesy Stampin' Up.  Same, with all ink, punches, and the pearls.  I was browsing on Pinterest last night and found some really creative other uses for the owl punch so I'm going to have fun experimenting with that.  Hope you have a good weekend!  <3 JEM

October Stamp Club

Happy weekend, y'all!  Thought I would share the cards we made at Stamp Club this week.  The theme was Christmas, and fortunately it was snowing so it really helped me get in the mood for Christmas :)  This first card has a wonderful technique I learned called Triple Time Stamping (except this one is only double ;)).  It's really fast and easy and the cool thing about it is that it doesn't matter if your stamp job isn't perfect because the layering disguises it.

This second card has a more vintage feel to it.  It uses the Big Shot to get the embossed paper.  I ordered a couple Christmas themed items for an order I have coming up and I can't wait to receive them!  This afternoon I'll be working on another order I have, after hopefully successfully donating blood.  My iron and blood pressure are generally low so we'll see if I've guzzled all this water for nothing :)  What are your plans for the weekend?  <3 JEM

Fall Order

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!  Hope you are enjoying the long weekend - I certainly am!  These cards were from my most recent order, and I received a wonderful compliment about them: It will be really really hard to give these away.  Made my day!  All products used are Stampin' Up except where mentioned (the card body..? is courtesy Michael's.

The "thinking of YOU" stamp is not Stampin' Up - can't remember the company.

I got the button on this one from a knitting shop in Nanaimo.

The button on this card is also from the knitting shop in Nanaimo.  The gold ribbon was from a gift I received, and the Thank You stamp is from the same set as the thinking of YOU stamp.  Which one is your favorite??  <3 JEM

September Stamp Club

I'm so excited for this year!!  I was able to join a 10 month stamp club and we had our first meeting this past Wednesday!  We made 2 beautiful cards and enjoyed each other's company and some snacks.  I also learned some new techniques that will help me with my creations.  Win win win win!  I've already sent out this birthday card to a friend :)

This was my favorite card of the night.  I love the colors, the ribbon, the button, and especially the paper.  So much, that I purchased a package of the paper and can't wait for it to arrive!  Part of being in the club requires you to make a purchase of $20 or more each month - and believe me, that isn't hard.  But this year we are on a pretty tight budget as we are pouring all our extra money into paying off our condo.  So far I've been a good girl and restrained myself!

A view of the inside of the card.  My husband and I took a nice walk outside this afternoon and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather.  The changing colors of the leaves are my favorite part about fall.  What do you like best about fall? <3 JEM

Invitations

Hello everyone!  Happy Long Weekend to you!  We recently passed the one year mark in our place, and felt that we needed to make a better effort at getting to know our neighbours.  So of course I found it necessary to make cute little invitations with our contact information when we went to meet people.  The blue and darker cream cardstock is from Michael's, the lighter cream is from notebook dividers I had.  The ribbon is from my mom, the animal stamps and ink from Stampin' Up and the lettering is from Michael's.

I cleverly concealed the end of the ribbon with one of my labels (with some shameless advertising, of course!).  So far we have had our neighbour across the hall for a visit, and we are looking forward to getting to know the rest!  I still remember when we first moved to this town and our neighbour brought over a handmade card and cookies - it really meant a lot.  I'm hoping to spread that love and hospitality around :)  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!  <3 JEM

July Creations

So this is what I was busy with in the month of July!  First up was my SIL's wedding anniversary.  The blue cardstock is from our wedding photo display, and the white is from a friend.  The stamps, ink, and pearls are from Stampin' Up.  I'm pretty sure that I embossed the red design on there (but it's been a while and all I have is a picture!).  The ribbon is from my mom.

The stamps used on the inside I found at Scrapbooker's Paradise and the punch is from SU.

This card was for the lady who got me into stamping in the first place!  Blue cardstock is once again from our wedding photo display, and the leopard print is from a bag I got.  The other cardstock is either from Michael's or recycled tab dividers from a Grade 8 cookbook.  The circle punch was from a friend, and the flower punch from Stampin' Up.

All these stamps were mine from a while back.  I think I got them at Michael's.

I gave this card to my aunt.  The blue cardstock is from our wedding photo display, the cream from Michael's, and the floral from a friend.  This ribbon, punch, ink, and stamp are from Stampin' Up.

This card was for my uncle.  The photo doesn't show the color well, but it is olive green, white, and brown.  The brown cardstock is from our wedding photo display, and the patterned piece is from a choir concert program I went to last year.  The punch is from Stampin' Up.

The punch I used fro the inside of the card is from Stampin' Up.

This card was for my hubby's uncle.  The brown cardstock is once again from our wedding photo display, and the other cardstock is probably from my friend.  The ink, punch, and stamps are from Stampin' Up.

This card was for hubby's cousin.  The cardstock is from Michael's, and the pink/white is from my cousin's wedding favors.  The flower stamp and punch is from Stampin' Up, and the other stamps I got at Scrapbooker's Paradise.

The pink inside is from my cousin's wedding invitation, the white paper doily is from my mom, and the buttons were from a blouse I never made.

This last card was for my cousin.  The cardstock is from our wedding photo display, and the cream is from Michael's.  The stamps, punch, ink, embossing powder, and brad are all from Stampin' Up.

Hope you enjoyed the cards, and are enjoying your Saturday.  My hubby is at work right now, so I just had to kill a spider by myself (he's really proud of me :D).  How are you spending the rest of your weekend?  <3 JEM
