You're So Vintage

Happy Friday everyone!  Are you all ready for a long weekend?  When hubby is home for the summer we tend to forget about things like that! (Not that I mind, of course!)  Here's a few cards I made recently with a few new-to-me products.  I made this set of four cards after I discovered the super easy technique of offsetting cards.  Previously I had been trying to cut angles properly and stuff, and it sure wasn't too easy.  With this technique, you cut your standard rectangle piece of card stock, layer it if you wish, and then make three cuts.  With the last one, you need to make sure your angle is still going to work for the card, but it's way easier than what I'd been doing before.   Anyway, this first card features the Chalk Talk stamp set from Stampin' Up, as well as the Beautiful Bunch stamp set, which conveniently now comes in a bundle so you can save a bit of money.  All four cards feature the Retro Fresh designer series paper (DSP), which I love!

This card uses the stamp set Peachy Keen from Stampin' Up.  I realized too late that there were coordinating framelits so I could have done some layering with those arrows, but oh well.

This card features the stamp set Timeless Talk, also Stampin' Up.  One thing you'll notice that I decided to leave on as a reminder to myself, is that always check that you haven't inked up a park of your stamp that you don't want showing on the paper!  I always (except apparently this time) check before I stamp that I won't have any unwanted blobs of ink showing up on the final product.

And this last card features the new stamp set from Stampin' Up, That Thing You Did.  I love this stamp set!  The sentiments make for some fun cards.  My favorite one is "You're on my mind!  ...but not in a creepy way!"  I'm going to have so much fun with this set, I think.  Anyway, I gave this card to my father-in-law for his birthday and he was pretty amused, I think(hope, lol).  Anyway, I hope you enjoy a wonderful long weekend!  <3 JEM
